Tomorrow is the first parade we’ll be going to for Mardi Gras 2012. Really I have to admit that I’m a little over the whole parade thing, it was great fun the first year but last year was just a lot of hassle for a bunch of dollar store knick-knacks and beads…sigh…I’ve become a local…

Anyway, these pictures are from the first Mardi Gras we went to two years ago…when it was new and exciting.

Well, since Andy’s marching in the parade tomorrow I guess that’s new and exciting, after all he’ll always be able to say he marched in a Mardi Gras parade and how cool is that??

We separated out everything we collected at the parades at the end of Mardi Gras...yes that really is a 4 foot tall pile of stuffed animals...

We weighed all the beads we collected in the span of 2 weeks...it totaled 275 pounds (yes, not a typo: two hundred and seventy-five POUNDS of beads). This is just the gold ones because Anna liked them...
